READ ME FIRST - important notes from Sam Jaffe, Executive Director:

• The Caterpillar Lab’s capacity in 2027 will not meet our current demand for programs/exhibits. If we cannot provide an event for you/your organization we hope to develop and promote other outputs that could reach your audiences.

 

• If you are currently inquiring about a program please know that you will be added to a contact list, but that we will likely not be able to actively work on a program schedule until 2027.  We recommend checking in with us early in 2027.

 

• If you are applying for grants to support a program with us in 2027 please know that we are not in a position to confirm a program or commit to meeting grant requirements at this time.  We recommend that any grants applied for should be written for a general environmental education program/activity rather than naming “The Caterpillar Lab” specifically.

 

• During this time of growth and change for The Caterpillar Lab we remain committed to our mission.  Our traveling exhibits and programs are one aspect of how we meet our mission, but we feel it is important to broaden and develop other aspects of our outreach as demand has outpaced our current capacity.

 

• Thanks for your interest and for your understanding as we complete our visioning and planning processes this fall and winter!

 

• (Notes about previous years’ offerings and pricing below - pricing and exact program types may change in 2027 so please use this as a starting point but not a firm overview.)

 

• You are welcome to submit a Program Request Form (found at the link here) anytime, but please know that you will likely hear from us beginning in January! We do not schedule on a first-come-first-served basis, instead we build our schedule of multi-day events first, then fill in with single-day events where we have availability. 

  • Due to increased interest in our interactive exhibits and programs, we may not be able to visit every community every year! Please keep looking for updates regarding our offerings and availability!
